My oh my, how the time flies. It seems like ages since I last wrote on this beautiful site called xanga. Fortunately for me there isn't a huge amount to write. Just little tidbits here and there. If you plan on reading this, beware... it could get interesting

While we are just a month and a half away from being to the midpoint of 2008, I must say it has been a nice one. I can honestly say I have never experienced anything like this year... EVER!! Being out of school has been a major adjustment in my life. I realize it has been a year already, but it still feels like it was just a few months ago. Weird.
One of my greatest accomplishments of the year so far is the daily accomplishments of my new years resolutions. It is so satisfying! Now I must confess, these goals that I set were not huge world changing things, but they have improved my daily routine. I know that as these form into full on habits, not only will I be living a better life but I will have a very nice chunk of things to build more upon!! So exciting.
Want to hear my goals?
1. Make bed everyday: I almost did this last year... but there were these TWO DAYS!!! ugh... oh well 2008!!!
2. Stop biting nails: So far so good! I know it's weird to think this is still an issue for a girl my age, but let me tell you... it's WEIRDER for me to think I haven't cracked in the last 4 1/2 months!!
3. Drink more water: Everyday is a battle... some days I am far more camel-esque than the barren desert I used to be in years past
4. Produce something creative everyday (whether it be art, food, idea, etc): Yes!!

Que bueno!! One good thing about being out of school is that I can exercise this a ton more than I ever had before.
5. Read more: Still a work in progress... but hey, I've still got some months to form it into a bona-fide habit
6. If you must eat chocolate, make sure it is of high quality or homemade: This has surprisingly been very nicely accomplished. One thing I LOVE is that it has enabled me to appreciate the chocolate all the more. While I've certainly picked up a Hershey's bar a couple times this year, I have NEVER actually eaten it!! Victory!!!
So there's my goals that I hope to accomplish through year end. I like that they are realistic for me. Not a huge stretch like "I hope to run 10 miles everyday in 2008".... but who knows... maybe one day THAT will be a goal of mine.......................

I leave you with this. After about 9 years of plucking my eyebrows, I realized... my goodness they are wearing thin!! So about 4 months ago I embarked on a journey that I had never dreamed of taking. With the exception of the later summer months of 2008 (when weddings will occur), I have no major events or photographs that will be taken of me for any huge purpose.... so........... I decided to grow out my brows!!! Is that gross? Well it really doesn't matter at this point 'cause I've been doing it now for a while. At first I felt kind of embarrassed, but hey it is better for me to do it now rather than later when I'll be in pictures right?? And it's not like there is a bush growing on my face, I'm just filling in all that I pulled away for so long. So if you've seen me lately and have wondered "um why are her eyebrows coming out at me?!" Now you know

Why am I writing this? Not that I have much of an image to keep up, but I've probably shattered whatever I have left of it....
